Project Description:

Murphy Kikeh spar is located approximately 75 miles northwest of the island of Labuan, offshore Sabah, East Malaysia and is owned and operated by Murphy Sabah Oil Company on behalf of Petronas Carigali. The development consists of a Floating Production Storage and Offloading vessel receiving production from a truss Spar with 24 well-bay slots; in water depths around 1,300 meters. This Spar platform was the first ever to be installed outside of the Gulf of Mexico.  OilPatch Technologies was awarded the production and drilling riser systems from Technip/FMC (phase 1) and Drill-Quip (phase 2) for this successful multi-phase project.  OPT’s scope for this project included but not limited to:
